My sister flew back to her home on Saturday evening. But earlier that afternoon, she and I went and looked around some of the local art galleries a few blocks from our house. I wore my dapper new hat, which she got a picture of:

I love this hat. It's so damn great.

Also, just because I was downloading pictures from my camera:

Scooter's taken to using the number pad on my keyboard as a pillow. Silleh kitteh.

I think my cat has kitty laryngitis. She's a very vocal cat, running around the house shouting her head off. But for the past few days, her meow has been very quiet.

It went from a loud sort of 'MER-YEEEER!' should to a soft, raspy kind of 'myrk' sound. It's really weird.

This afternoon, my family's female tabby cat, George, had to be put to sleep. She had problems with her blood chemistry, and the vets thought it was an internal rupture or infection. While things could have been done to help, it would have been way too expensive, and she had low chances of pulling through.

I loved her, and I'll miss her. I'm sorry that I never made an icon for her.

And I'll be okay, if anyone is wondering. This is the fifth pet death I've experienced in my life, and the ninth general death. I've learned that it's stupid to mourn and be depressed at death. I believe in reincarnation, and either George is living it up somewhere awesome as a person, or she's being treated as a queen in India. Either way, it's good for her. And I'm going on with my life. Don't expect less art or posting or anything from me; if anything, I'll be more prolific, because this is a reminder that life is short, and we should do the best with what we have.

Sketch of my kitty Scooter, based off a photo of her. And... my knee, because it was also in the photo. It's funny - she usually won't sit on anyone's lap but my dad's. And she really doesn't like sitting on laps when the lap is at the computer. Except for when I'm watching Doctor Who. Then, she'll come right up, hop on my lap, and zone out. Unless an alien shows up, in which case she'll pop up and just stare at the screen.
Silly kitteh. ;p

Also, if you are bored, might I suggest you watch this video?

I dunno why I think it's so funny... I just do. Those three... I've been in the room with all of them at once. And let me tell you, it's pretty much like that all the time. (They are my buddy X, his brother, and their nephew, by the way)
