Monthly art dump time. Not too much for this past month. I've had the time to do art, just not much motivation.

Most of the stuff this month is just studies for different things. These are just some quick sketches using Posemaniacs.

So, I've had this alien species called the Sansani in my head for quite a few years (not as long as the DEC, but close). Most of the time they've existed in my head, they've been peaceful critters about the size of a squirrel, and bright orange or red in color. That was pretty much the original design.

Profile view of original design.

I'm thinking of revamping them, though. About the size of a really long corgi, flatter face (more like a lemur, less like a dog), different tails. Still the same colors, though. I'm also thinking of overhauling their nature - instead of a peaceful society, they're known mainly as weapon manufacturers. There are other sentient species on their planet, but the Sansani at a point took control of the planet and set up an apartheid system.

Front view of the revamp. I'm tossing around the idea of apping a Sansani that was instrumental to setting up the apartheid to T9, but I'm not sure yet.

Sansani front paws. The first two sets of legs are arms, the back two are legs. Parts of their culture are built around the fact they have four hands. For instance, they can only touch food with their front arms, but not their second set. Eating with the second set of arms is considered unclean.

Just a random study of a red fox I did in colored pencil.

Inked and colored versions of some fan art of Zombie from Hanna Is Not A Boy's Name (which you all should reeeeaaad).

My first class today was cancelled, and my first class tomorrow is cancelled. Nice.
