Need some help

amredthelectorMy friend Reggie is taking me to a rave in a few days. The school's putting it on, so it'll likely suck, but we have a rather nice group of friends going, so we can make it fun.
BUT Reggie and I have never been to a rave before. Sure, we know what they are, but we've experienced one. So, I have a question; what kind of garb would be considered standard to a rave? Normal I don't care about clothes, but Reggie wants to dress the two of us up in some fun outfits. However, we don't know what would be best.
Anyone have any suggestions?
