Sci-fi!
Oh man, I love sci-fi. I was raised on it. My feminist role models growing up? Captain Janeway from Star Trek Voyager and Sarah Connor. The book shelf to my immediate right, which covers the entire wall, is my dad's sci-fi book collection. So much awesomeness is to be found there. Oddly enough, I generally hate the Sci-Fi channel.

Gotta catch 'em all! (I never did!) Seeing how Eib met me through rants about my pokemon rp on BRPS, this was kinda obvious. But, still. Pokemon is like... my original fandom. And I've done a lot of stuff for it; I made up my own pokemon when I was little, I worked on a pokemon anthropomorphism project on DA, rped, etc. I recently restarted by copy of LG, too (I hadn't done a very good job the first time around, and felt the only way to fix it was a total reset). I may post some doodles from that game soon.

Originally the World of Aryon forum, then changed to the less offensive World Office of the Apocalypse forum. This is where the aforementioned pokemon rp took place. And in the long run, I'd kind of like to forget about it. While some people there (Maelstrom, Dea-chan, Eibborn) were cool, others were assholes (BloodBunny, FoxKnight). Those assholes ruined forums for me, and almost ruined rping.
Original Characters!
This one... sort of surprised and confused me. But I guess it makes sense. I tend to only play my own original characters in rps. I don't really like using another person's creation, and I'm always worried that I'll get it wrong. The exception is Terry in T9.

Ah, Sab! I haven't been there in forever, unfortunately. A lot of people I know on LJ I met through Sab, but for those I met elsewhere: Sab is a crazy fun MUD. It's a bit fantasy, a bit steampunk, a sci-fi, and all around wackiness. It's where my LJ username* came from! It's just... really weird, but really fun, and introduced me to an alternate form of rping then just forums.
*Oddly enough, Amred was a character of mine before I joined Sab. However, instead of being a 6'7" male ranger Sabrecat, the original Amred was a 5'4" female brown furred/brown haired dog furry. She was a run away who was part of a group of bandits, and actually kind of fun to write. She was really the only furry character I had that wasn't a huge Sue. When I was creating Sab!Amred, I noticed that new characters started out in a desert town. Since Furry!Amred lived in a desert town, I payed homage to her.

Date: 2009-02-27 12:02 am (UTC)Gah, I KNOW, isn't it great? The scene in the cafeteria was pretty sweet, too. And, to be honest, I'm not much of a comic book fan. I certainly don't know that much about the characters we have. But the players are good at keeping it simple enough that casual- or non-fans can get it.
