I got a smexy new monitor today. 19" flat screen plasma LG monitor. It's so freaking awesome. And now I can finally do proper coloring on my art (my old screen was really dark, so my art looked vastly different from my old Gateway monitor to any new monitor).

Also, I saw Quantum of Solace today. It was... okay. A lot better then Casino Royale, but I still don't think of the new movies as true Bond films. 007 isn't witty enough, Q isn't around, and the villains are too serious, and therefore lame. A true Bond villain should be trying to make a raygun to blow up the sun. Not... doing topical, serious things.

But I did see the extended Watchmen trailer. Hooooly shiiiiit, it is going to be amazing.

Wow! I just went and watched that trailer (I didn't know there was one) and it does look amazing! And it featured not one but two clips from Koyaanisquatsi songs AND Take a Bow by Muse. I'm soooo excited about that movie... even though I know I'll probably be let down.

And yeah, I know just what you mean about the new Bond concept. I liked the old style Bond better... but I'll still go see Quantum of Solace eventually.

Actually, the movie will probably not suck. Alan Moore has actually given his approval for the film, which means it actually meets his standards. And while they had to cut out the Black Freighter comic story for the theatrical release, it will be in the DVD release. So, it'll basically be a 4 hour movie that covers everything.

Yeah, I liked old Bond. Sure, the movies were very sexist and corny, but that's why I liked them. New!Bond is... just a generic spy. Not 007.
