So, I lied. I do have art today. And I've broken my record of never posting twice in the same game. Whatever. Pencil doodle (and shaded!) of Terry McGinnis from Batman Beyond.

I was poking around a few multi fandom games I've seen/heard of an LJ. I was interested in [livejournal.com profile] trans_9 since the first time I heard about it, but I've never played in a fandom game, because I'm afraid of bad characterization and stuff. But Trans 9 seems a cut above the others, is a deep-space sci-fi, allows comic book characters, and has no Batman.

I think I'm going to apply for Terry.

the only issue with trans_9 (other than immediately being frustrated with the angsty vampire RPer) is that it takes a while for people to respond, sometimes.

which i guess is good, if you're up for a relaxing paced RP. but for me, coming from the realtime RP of star wars and sab, it's a little jarring.

I'm actually more comfortable with slower rps, since that's basically all I've done for the past four years. My main problem with rping is that none of the rps I've been in lately have lasted very long. Keeping up with people that want to still play after a month is going to be new, and hopefully enjoyable.

Heh, I have to say that they've got quite the interesting character list! Good luck with your application.

I literally squeeled with joy when I saw 'Biff, Christ's childhood pal' on the list. I loved that book, and Biff was the most awesome apostle ever. I need to finish up my app and send it in. The hard part is making it not read like a Wiki entry...

Well, I have two characters over there now. -grin- So, good times.

I adore Terry. That show was so good.

Ha, here's to hoping I get in!

I miss this so much. I remember being ten years old and watching it every saturday morning, bouncing on the couch saying stuff like 'LOOK OUT, BEHIND YOU!' or 'I wanna be a splicer!' Ah... itty bitty nerdage.

The original Batman animated series was one of the things I watched every day when I got home from school as a kid. Kevin Conroy is MY Batman. Terry is fun, though.

I admit, if they started splicing? I'd get a tail. Sigh.

Well, my Tony can help him with the suit, at least, since Bruce wouldn't be around. :P

The first Batman I was exposed to was the Batman/Superman cartoon. But I was... oh.... six? Beyond really appealed to ten-year-old Amred, and still does now.

I always liked the idea of getting spots.

Y'know, a debate I've had with my friends is which is better, Ironman or Batman. Terry is so different from Bruce and Tony, though, I can't help but feel that with him, the argument would be 'My boss is cooler then you' instead of 'I'm cooler then you'.

I feel old now. Hmph.. But Beyond did appeal to the teenaged me. Terry is just so cool.

Yeah, Tony and Bruce would be the more similar pair, at least in the outward appearance catagory. Billionare debauched playboys, and all that.

Tony would argue about his own awesome until he was blue in the face.

I seem to do that to people. :B

Yeah, as a superhero, Terry doesn't seem to have much going for him. He was in a gang, spent time in juvie, and broke into an old man's house to steal his super suit. I cannot for the life of me figure out why I like him so much.

Probably for the same reason that I get bored with Supes pretty quickly; because he's not perfect. He did some stupid things, but he's the good guy in the end.

That's where Tony and Terry might actually agree, in the 'oh damn, I was wasting my life' catagory.

In Terry's case, it's some very stupid things.

And I'm almost done with his app... I just need to do the sample rp, and I'm kinda stuck on that. But I should get it done and sent off today, and hopefully I'll get in.
