cy-t; forever the shading bitch

Another comparison image. For my own benefit, really. Both of these are the same character (the android Cy-T) in the same basic pose. The one on the left is from November 2007 (I think, some time late last year, at least) and on the right I drew a few days ago. While the shading on the old one looks cool, the expression and attitude aren't right. Cy-T is a cold, uncaring robot. He is not your friend. He hates you for being human. The newer style shows that better, I think.

So, of course, after two days of 70 degree sunny days, today is 40 degrees, overcast, and has had two flurries so far. And I have a day-long hike in the mountains with my honors program tomorrow. Great.

Well, actually, the more important things is that the weather in California stays good. My astronomy class is going to doing blackhole and quazar observation by remotely controlling radio telescopes in the Mojave desert tomorrow. If the weather is bad there, we won't get another chance. So, here's hopin'.
