Some random sketches, some Batman Beyond fanart.
A doodle of Aang, from Avatar, and Kai-ro, the Green Lantern from Batman Beyond. The future Justice League has shown up in the BB comics, and I suddenly realized how much Kai-ro and Aang have in common (adorable little Buddhist monks with the power to destroy the world). And I just had to draw this.
Kinda shippy art of Terry and the new Catwoman! I really love their interactions, and want to see more of them being silly and flirty in the comics.
Doodle of my fantroll with an electric sander. Not much else to say about this.
So I was listening to the soundtrack to Chicago and felt the need to draw a sexy lady with a tommy gun. While I don't plan on doing anything with her, I have dubbed her "Curvy Tommy." She is a prohibition era hitman, though she isn't quite a femme fatale, because she doesn't use her sex as a weapon. Because she's gay. Also, first sketch in a new sketchbook!
Emily, from my short stories, kind of bloodied and with skeletal wings. I kind of want to draw all of the recurring characters in that series with wings that match their personality/place in the story. Emily, being a psychopomp, has skeletal wings. The quote is from the song "Alice" by Tom Waits, which I consider Emily's theme song.
A, uh, random kid. Again, don't plan on doing anything with him, but sort of made a story for him. His name is Malachai, he's an orphan boy raised by an all-women's circus in a vaguely Victorian setting. He's brought up around only women and as he gets older takes on more and more female forms of dress, mannerisms, etc. He works as a clown. The mask thingy hides a nasty scar on his face that he's had as long as he can remember.
