eibborn posted it in his blog, I remembered it! So, here we go.
The Yearly Meme: Go to your LJ Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2008. Post the first line (or such) of it in your journal.
January Happy New Year, internets.
....okay, this one isn't too bad. But dull.
February Should I or should I not finish this? It's been rolling around my harddrive for a while, and while I like the idea, I'm not sure if I really want to finish it. Lemme know, okay? I'd like some input.
And there was a half-finished photoshop painting above this. I did not finish it.
March I woke up way too early for a saturday and couldn't get back to sleep. So I played around with my water colors some.
This happens a lot.
April I KNEW IT
Har, hope everyone had a fun April 1st. Hope no one got tricked too bad.
The 'I knew it' bit was a link to The Phoenix Requiem's April Fool's joke, which had the main character, Jonas, getting into the TARDIS and disappearing. I lol'ed.
May Latest two paintings I've done in photoshorpe. I need the practice, yes.
I still need practice. Curse you, photoshop! I will defeat you! Also, the pictures that went with this were PS painting of some AegBalk characters.
June Sketch of my kitty Scooter, based off a photo of her. And... my knee, because it was also in the photo.
All I have to say about this was that the title was 'I miss Lucha shows'. See, 'Lucha' is Mexican masked wrestling, and back in the late '90s there were a lot of cartoons about it (Mucha Lucha, Jackie Chan Adventures, I think there was also a live action 'superhero lucha' show...). My dad and I thought these were HILARIOUS and watched them whenever they were on. I wish they were still around, because they were awesomely stupid.
July I can't see to draw humanoids this week. So here, have some aliens.
Um. I'm not really sure what to saw about this.
August The latest Artemis Fowl book was about time travel.
The more I think about that book, the more I realize that it jumped the shark big time. No, not just jumps. ROCKETED OVER.
September I've never been really satisfied with Face's costume.
And I've never been satisfied with the story, which is why it's been abandoned to make way for steampunk stuff. I don't regret it.
October Sooo, I went to a con a few weeks back. And I completely forgot to post any of my photos of it until one ofcloudsnapper's posts today kinda reminded me. So here they are!
Aaand then there were con photos. Yeeeeup.
November Back from NM, safe and sound. Though, people down there simply cannot drive.
Seriously. NO ONE could drive down there. It was nuts. And I come from DENVER, which is on the list of ten top cities with the worst traffic.
December So, hey, that writing contest I entered Paper Bird in? I won first place. :B I feel a small, awesome sense of accomplishment.
AH STILL DO.
But seriously, why do you guys read my blog? Looking back, it's really boring.
In other news, I found two awesome blogs to read. The Comics Curmudgeon is a great blog were newspaper comic strips get snarked. I love this site, because I love newspaper comics - I get all my news from National Public Radio, but I still start my morning off with the comics in my local paper. Of course, a lot of them are legacy comics, and others just tend to not makes sense. So seeing witty comments about how Marmaduke has eaten everyone in his hometown greatly amuses me.
The other one is Judge a Book by its Cover. Now, I haaate that saying. Really. It's a nice sentiment but, really. If the cover of a book looks like it was made by a fourteen year old just trying out photoshop? I'm not going to read it. So, this blog snarks book covers! And I think it's awesome.
