Lots of doodles from

aegbalk today. First off, let's introduce the cast, in order of appearance...

First off is Scarlet, my own character. A somewhat older smuggler, known for her sharp wit and vulgar tongue.

Serafiem Appius, played by

dea_kun. A sex-obsessed nutjob of a man.

Shanielli T'lis, played by

rudiichuu. The blue technician who seems to hate everyone.

Mwrr Avrk Kaplk, played by

eibborn. The galaxy's smallest, cutest medic.

And Fuuma XenChi, played by

starbomber109. A young rim-army veteran.
(there's also Isar Teja, a lizard-like weapons maker, but I've yet to settle on a design for his race.)

Scarlet is a re-make of an old 'classic' pirate character of mine. The original Scarlet drank all the time - this one likes to smoke. She loves hookas, but also carries around a pipe.

Eibborn has the cutest characters. Really. His intro post was about his tiny medic trying to drink from a normal sized cup. KYOOT.

Beats, the ship's chef. He was originally a DJ bot that Scarlet 'rescued' from being recycled. (He's based a bit on Daft Punk, I'll admit...)

I'm sure this happens all the time...

My reaction, too, if a tiny squirrel thing talked to me through my own head.

I think this is the game's first original swear.

Our first destination is a planet of shape-shifting cat people. I think Shanie wants to feed Sera to one of them.

And lastly, a sketch of our ship's engine room. I'll admit, I borrowed from both Doctor Who and Star Trek Voyager for this. It's really just because I love them so...

I'm also working on diagrams for each race. I'll put them on the AegBalk site when I'm done.

I finally got MSN messenger on my computer. ...well, to be fair, I use a Mac, so it was there when we first got the computer. However, the software was obsolete within about a week, so I never got to use it. I finally downloaded a proper copy, though, so now I can actually use it.
