squids are fucking hardcore
What's this? An art update? And less then a month after the last one? Madness!

First off is a slight redesign of Nicolai, my Diamond trainer. I wasn't really liking his original design, so I'm trying to give him a slightly more metrosexual slant. Also, fedoras are the hardest hat to draw.

Mithca, who you saw in my last art post. Just a quick full-body sketch of her to flesh out her costume. Kinda failed with the left hand, and I meant to go back and fix it, but never did. Oops.

Decided to use Mithca to experiment with facial expressions. Left column: stoic, angry, coy; right column: happy/laughing, upset. It was actually kind of fun, because her kind of cynical, sarcastic personality can lead to some really fun expressions. Also, almost all of her teeth are pointy (like a cat's, and her diet is also like a real feline's), so the laughing one wound up wonderfully creepy.

Just a quick sketch of Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender. The pose she's in is a legit tai chi pose. I used myself for a model on the pose itself, but did make a few changes, such as her stance. I'm not at all flexible, so her stance is waaaay lower then my own.

And finally, an acrylic painting I did the other day. It's been in my head for a while now, though I have no idea why. A bigger (albeit slightly blurry) version can be seen here.
In other news, my iPod my finally be dying.
And I possibly have a slight case of pink eye. My right eye is really red, and a bit dry/itchy. Though, I haven't really had any other symptoms of pink eye, and while the redness was really bad last night, it's been going down and is barely noticeable now. But I'm trying not to touch it or rub it, just in case.
